Logitech K780 broken key — Compatible parts

Repair a broken Logitech K780 key: compatibility with MX Keys, integrated tablet/phone holder specifics, and available parts.

The Logitech K780 Multi-Device (920-008034) is a wireless keyboard with integrated tablet/phone holder. Its scissor mechanism differs from MX Keys: rounder keys (concave) with their own profile. A broken K780 key requires a specific K780 part — not MX Keys. We carry K780 keys individually in the spare-parts section.

Diagnostic

The K780 has 3 key zones: (1) main alphanumeric zone with K780 scissor; (2) 3 Easy-Switch buttons on the side; (3) compact numeric keys. Identify where the break is. All keys use the same round K780 profile — different from the flat MX Keys profile.

Identify the broken K780 key — distinguish K780 from MX Keys (different profiles).

Gently lift the broken key and remove the split hinge.

  4. 4

Place the K780 hinge and clip the new key on.

FAQ

Are K780 keys compatible with MX Keys?

No, profiles differ. K780 keys = round with cup (concave). MX Keys = flat with slight cup. Visually very different, mechanically not interchangeable. Verify the model at order.

How do I know if I have a K780 vs another Logitech model?

The K780 has an integrated tablet/phone slot above the function row (deep groove). Unique to this model in the Logitech wireless lineup. No slot = probably K380 or MX Keys Mini.

Does the K780 use a similar hinge to MX Keys?

No, the K780 hinge is different — smaller and more square. Sold at €5 like the universal MX Keys hinge, but for K780 you need specifically the K780 one. Wrong order? Contact us for exchange.

K780 = compact keyboard with integrated tablet holder. Different parts from MX Keys, select K780 at order time.
